Location
Sumba Island lies in eastern Indonesia, south of Flores and east of Bali, part of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Despite its growing reputation, Sumba remains wonderfully untouched, preserving its landscapes and centuries-old traditions. The journey begins with a short flight from Bali to Tambolaka or Waingapu Airport. From there, quiet roads take us through sweeping savannahs, waterfalls, coastal cliffs, and villages that feel timeless. Travel here isn't rushed. It unfolds slowly, just as it should.
